Meet Winn & Finn: The Story Behind Our New Faithful Companion Collection

Every collection we build at Gather & Vine starts the same way — with a story. Not a mood board, not a trend report. A real moment, shared by someone in our community, that reminds us why we do this in the first place.

This time, that story came from one of our own customers.

She told us about her son's upcoming birthday, and about the two dogs who never leave his side — Winn and Finn. Two striking white shepherds who show up for everything: the early mornings, the long drives, the quiet evenings, and yes, the meals. The way she described them, tails thumping under the table before dinner and curled up close after the last plate was cleared, we knew immediately. This was more than a birthday gift idea. This was a collection.

The Idea That Started It All

Winn and Finn don't read as "cute pets." They read as companions — the kind of dogs that are woven into the rhythm of a family's life rather than sitting on the sidelines of it. They're there before the meal is served, hovering hopefully by the stove. They're there after, sprawled by the fire while the conversation runs long. They're part of the gathering.

That's exactly what Gather & Vine has always been about — slowing down, setting the table, and making room for the people (and the four-legged ones) who matter most. So we started sketching. What if we built a collection around the idea of the faithful companion? Not just a dog on a shirt, but a feeling — loyalty, presence, the quiet comfort of someone who's always there.

Introducing: The Faithful Companion Collection

This new line celebrates the dog that's always with you — for the sunrise, the campfire, the ride home, and every meal shared with the people you love in between. It's inspired by real moments, real dogs, and real families, starting with Winn and Finn themselves.

A few of the pieces we're most excited about:

• First Light — a minimal silhouette of two dogs sitting side by side on a ridge, watching the sunrise, with the line "Every good day begins together."
• Until the Fire Burns Low — a campfire scene, a dog resting nearby, and a mug of coffee close at hand for the quiet hours after everyone else has gone in for the night.
• Home — the simplest design in the collection: a dog curled up beside a well-worn pair of boots on a wooden porch. Nothing else needed.
• Every Adventure Needs One — just a silhouette, a nod to every dog who's ever waited by the door, ready to go wherever you're headed.

Each design leans into a heritage, hand-illustrated feel — think vintage field guides and national park posters rather than novelty graphics — in a warm, grounded palette of forest green, espresso, charcoal, and cream. Pieces that feel as good at the table as they do out on the trail.

Over time, keep an eye out for a small signature mark appearing across select pieces: two dog silhouettes, sitting side by side. A quiet nod to Winn and Finn, and to every faithful companion who's found their way into someone's story — including, we hope, yours.

For the Dogs Who Are Always There

We hear from so many of you about the animals who shape your everyday lives — the ones who greet you at the door, sit patiently by the table, and stick close through every season. This collection is for them. It's a way of saying that the companions who show up for the small, ordinary moments deserve to be celebrated too.
